Using Parameters with Non-Categorical Data

Hi Experts,

I am trying to create a Line Chart with X-Y data and a Parameter and Slicer that allows the user to to flip between two different X-axis values. However, I can't seem to get it to work.

Do parameters only work for categorical data?
