Hi Everyone,
Over the summer, I am working for a cybersecurity company. They would like me to take all of their data, which is scattered throughout various platforms like Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, etc., and put it into one easy-to-access location. One of my colleagues is asking me to check out snowflake, but I am unsure if that is the best solution for this assignment. I have a few questions.
What do you think about using Microsoft Power BI for such a project?
With Microsoft BI, can I stream data from Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, etc., into Microsoft BI in real-time?
I see that Microsoft BI has a way to connect to Google Analytics, LinkedIn, and Salesforce, but can I connect to platforms like Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram for analytics?
Can a solution like Microsoft Power BI scale as the company grows? What are its advantages and disadvantages from your experience and perspective?
What are the advantages of using a platform like snowflake or something similar over Microsoft Power BI?
I appreciate any advice you can provide.
Sincerly,
Joshua Cortigiano

@Anonymous , snowflake is a database for data warehousing (best suited), Power bi Analytics tools.
If you need to consolidate this data and do some operations and transformation which are complex you can do that on snowflake and then connect that power bi and analyze
You will able to pull this data in power bi and do some transformation and analyze. For large volume, you have to use power bi premium
Hello, Power BI doesn't have connectors for Youtube, Facebook and Instagram, so that will be the main issue. As a workaround, I would suggest you connect your data from all those sources through a 3rd party connector. I currently use windsor.ai to pull my data mainly from social media and I haven't had any issue so far. Your other option would be to connect through the API with API calls but that would be really tedious

Great, thanks!
Joshua,
Did you develop a process for gathering raw data to make it useful for cybersecurity? Would you like to colaborate on more uses of Power BI for improving cybersecurity?
This is your chance to engage directly with the engineering team behind Fabric and Power BI. Share your experiences and shape the future.
