Using Gauge report with slicer
Hi.
I am learning PowerBi and was trying to use the Gauge report and slicer. My data is taken from excel which has 2 tables. Table 1 contains class names, values for july, aug, sep, oct, nov,dec .. Table 2 contains the class name , Q1 Target cost, Q2 Target cost and so forth.
I have added a slicer and added as filter class names. This is working fine. Now I am trying to add a Gauge report, which should display based on each quarter - target cost ( Target ) , current value should be based on each quarter selected. If Q2 selected, it should be sum of july, aug, sep data. How to create the gauge based on this ?
Thanks

Hi Venkatz ,
You want to create a slicer contains quarters, right?
Just put the related quarter field into the slicer, then you can filter it. The related visual will display the value base d on the selected quarter.
If you need to use the fields of one table to filter the data of another table, then you need an active relationship between the two tables.
What's the Gauge report? Did you mean the Radial gauge charts in Power BI?
To create a gauge report in Power BI, you can select the Gauge visual from the Visualizations pane. You can drag the field you want to track into the Value bucket. To dynamically set the values, drag fields to the Minimum, Maximum, and Target Value buckets. Alternatively, use the visual formatting options to manually customize the range of your gauge.
