Using Direct Query mode can we create calculated measures or columns?

Is there any way to create calculated measures or columns using direct query.

What is your data source?

If you connect to SQL Server database using DirectQuery mode in Power BI Desktop, you are able to create calculated measures or columns. If you connect to SSAS database using “Connect Live” mode, you are only able to create measures in Power BI Desktop.

What is your data source?
