Using Card(new) to color background cards differently
- 1 year ago
From my testing small mutilples for new cards doesn't work for all use cases. In my case measures used for SVG images didn't respect the filter context of the card. Think I also had issues with condition font colours

Hi wonka1234 ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community. Also thank you Deku for your inputs.
Currently, Power BI does not support applying different background colors to each individual card when using Small Multiples — the conditional formatting option under Format → Background → FX applies the same color across all cards. This behavior is confirmed in the official documentation here: Card visual considerations – Power BI.
As a workaround, you can use separate card visuals for each metric and apply individual background rules or implement custom SVG-based visuals for more advanced formatting control. We appreciate your feedback and recommend monitoring updates as this area continues to evolve.
I am also including a thread that is similar to your issue and has been resolved. Please have a look for better understanding: Solved: Dynamic Card Visual's Color - Microsoft Fabric Community
