Dear Support
I have some problem when sharing dashboard to users outside organization.
User send me this screenshot when he try to access dashboard via desktop:
Please advice
Hi,
I have shared a dashboard to two users outside my organisation, and they get a error message with an owl that states, something went wrong, please try again later.
The manager is able to view the dashboard, and she is on the same domain as the other users.
I the data is being pulled from a sql server.
Please let me know if you require further information.
Thank you,
Jebby
Hi @aanmi,
I am not able to reproduce your issue. Regarding to the above error message, there are some proposals for you troubleshooting it.
1. Make sure that you enter his email address correctly when sharing the dashboard. And the email address should be a work, or school email address. Power BI does not support email addresses provided by consumer email services or telecommunication providers. This includes outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com and others.
2. When sharing dashboard, please select “Send email notification to recipients”.
3. After the external user gets an email with a link to the shared dashboard, ensure that the he accesses the shard dashboard via the link. Also he has to use the same email address to sign up in Power BI and access that dashboard.
4.If the shared dashboard contains Power BI Pro content, the external user will need a Power BI Pro license to view the content.
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
