Users can't launch power automate flow using power bi button

Hello,

Could you please help me to resolve the issue? (I am copmletely lost 😞 )

I created power automate flow which is launched using power bi button. I used for that service account which has premium licence of power automate.

I gave access to my personal account (I also have premium license power automate) and  users in my organization (the have standard free licence (don't know if it is important) to RUN ONLY. For this option connectors to data sources are always the same: "use service account connectors"

I can launch the flow, it works well

However users get "Unsuccessful".

I am a bit confused if the issue is in power bi or power automate?

Yes, users who run a flow that uses premium connectors must have a premium Power Automate license, even if they have only "Run only" permissions.

Here’s a summary of how it works:

  • Premium Connectors: If your flow uses any premium connectors (such as SQL Server, Salesforce, etc.), anyone who runs the flow needs to have a premium license, regardless of whether they are simply triggering the flow via a "Run only" button.

  • Service Account Setup: Even though the service account (which has a premium license) is used for the connectors, the users themselves must also have a premium license to trigger the flow. The "Run only" permission does not bypass the need for proper licensing for premium connectors.
