User level security with Direct query datasets

Hello experts,

 

I have a requirement in Power BI and need help.

 

Requirement: I need to connect dataset with user level security as direct query in power BI and once the report is created and published the dashboard should pick the security features from dataset. We dont not wanted to manage them with Power BI RLS.

 

 

Please suggest me any ideas how can I do this in Power BI.

    How are you securing the data at the source? Are you using SQL Server? Do you have Row Level Security set up?

    And why is RLS in Power BI not an option?

      I am using SQL AP's in sourcee level to secure the data. 

       

      why is RLS in Power BI not an option?

      This is one of the initial requirement. So, looking for solution as per requirement.
