User facing Parameter controls for custom visuals

I am trying to create a User selection Parameter control.

In tableau we are able to pair a parameter with an IF statement so that if a user changes a selection on a paramter it will change a part of the dashboard. we are able to specify different dimensions and measures as apart of the paramaters.

is there a way to do this in PBI?
