User Interaction (via parameters) to OLAP cube

Hi community!

I am looking for a possibility of a client-server communication between Power BI Desktop and an OLAP cube:

The user shall specify date ranges (which can be saved as parameters). Afterwards, there should be a message to the OLAP cube so that the cube knows the user input of the variable (aka the time frame) and restarts its calculation based upon the new information.
