  • Hi ylingaiah1

Sorry for being late, as i have be stuck with my own issues recentlly.

    let's go ahead.

Get the power bi free account

    1.Search for www.powerbi.com

2.select the Sign up free link that you'll see in the upper right corner

3.Sign up with your email address (a work, school email address required, instead of a personal email address)

Publish the power bi desktop reports to service

1.In Power BI Desktop > File > Publish > Publish to Power BI or click Publish on the ribbon.

    2.Sign in to Power BI

When complete, you'll get a link to open your report in your Power BI site.

    Create dashboards in service

if you want to create a dashboard from a report, please follow steps below

1.Hover over the visualization you want to pin, and select the pin icon. Power BI opens the Pin to dashboard screen.

2.Decide whether to pin to an existing dashboard or new dashboard.

      • Existing dashboard: select the name of the dashboard from the dropdown. Dashboards that have been shared with you will not appear in the dropdown.
      • New dashboard: type the name of the new dashboard.

    3.Select Pin.

A Success message (near the top right corner) lets you know the visualization was added, as a tile, to your dashboard.

4.From the navigation pane, select the dashboard with the new tile. Select the tile to jump back into the report.

    Regards

    Maggie

    Hi, ylingaiah1

Would you like to sign up for Power BI as an individual?

As an individual you can choose to sign up for free or you can purchase a Power BI Pro subscription.

To sign up for Power BI, you can do the following

    1.Browse to powerbi.com

2.Select Start Free or Sign up free

3.Sign up with your email address.

This article will walk you through your options on how to sign up and begin using the Power BI service

To purchase a Power BI Pro you need an office 365 account, if necessary, please refer to this article.

    Best Regards

    Maggie
