Use of Maps

I am looking for a suggestion on an approriate map to use to cover the 50 states in the U.S.  I have a city and state column in my dataset that I am concatenating to be city & state.

 

I am lookingh for a suggestion on the the most appropriate map to use, as zooming seems to be an issue with both the Filled Map and ESRI Map.

 

Any advice on the most appropriate map I can use to plot specific cities, and keep it lock to a view of the U.S.?

    For your requirement, I haven't found a visual which can lock the  location, perhaps you can try to use shape map.

      This would actually be the preferred map, however when I apply it - I only see two states with color density whereas I am looking to plot cities across the U.S.

       

      Please let me know if you have any specific directiojn about how I may be able to do this.

        Share map visual can lock part of maps, but it not support shows all plots.

         

        In addition, you can take a look at Synoptic Panel, it support custom plot design:
