Use of DATEDIFF function in calculated column using Direct query mode

Is there any way too use DATEDIFF function while creating calculated column using Direct query mode?

Or any other way to calculate difference between two dates in calculated column using Direct query mode?

Based on my test,it is supported to add datediff calculated column in Direct query mode, plz see below capture:

@Anonymous , datediff should work as a column

or as meausre

sumx(Table,Datediff([Date1],[Date2],day) ) // you can use aggreagation of your choice

This simply does not work. The calc as columns returns:
OLE DB or ODBC eror: We couldn't fold the expression to the data source. Please try a simples expression

 

Isn't this expression simple enough for PowerBI to handle?
