Use measure as value in visual e.g pie chart

Hi All,

Is it possible to use measures as values in visuals such as pie charts, scatter graphs..

I have created measures for the latest test and latest result of each user, and these update when I change the date slider.

As you can see in the image below, I can get these to display in table format. However, it won't let me add my measures as values to other visuals such as the pie chart.

Does anyone know why this is?

Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm having same problem any Idea how to solve this ?
My measurment:

TotalSprintsMeasure =
VAR ActiveSprint =
    ADDCOLUMNS(
        ALL(SprintNames),
        "SprintEffort", SWITCH(
            TRUE(),
            [Sprint] = "1" && [1ActiveSprint] <> BLANK(), CALCULATE(SUM('RoT'[1SprintEffort]),'RoT'[Title] = SELECTEDVALUE('RoT'[Title]))

            // Add all other phase measures here
        )
    )
VAR FilteredSprint = FILTER(ActiveSprint, [SprintEffort] <> BLANK())
VAR TotalEffort = SUMX(FilteredSprint, [SprintEffort])
RETURN
    FORMAT(TotalEffort, "0.0")
In the table I get results but can't show that in PBI donut

Hi @brettg

I can't reproduce your problem, how do you calculate the measure?

Best Regards

Maggie

Hi Maggie,

Thank you for taking the time to look into this for me.

This is the measure I am currently using to get the latest result per user:

Latest Result =

VAR User = SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[User])

VAR MaxTest = MAXX(
KEEPFILTERS(VALUES('Table'[User])),
CALCULATE(MAX('Table'[Test Date]))
)

RETURN

CALCULATE(SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Result]), ALLSELECTED('Table'),'Table'[User] = User, 'Table'[Test Date] = MaxTest)

I'm assuming I need a True or False IF statement now to bring back if its the latest test?

Many Thanks,

Brett
