Use Slicer Value as Column Header in Matrix

Hi tecumseh 

 

Regarding the “Matrix Header is Value” you mentioned, does it look like the part marked in the picture below. If so, there is no way for it to be dynamically updated in Power BI Desktop due to it is determined by the fields that are put into the Matrix Visual Rows. If you put “Attribute” into Matrix Visual Rows, then the header would be “Attribute”.

 

Please correct me if I understand your description incorrectly. And, It would be great if you could provide screenshots of your matrix visual and dummy data.

You got it.
Maybe need a different approach than unpivot data.

1. Create disconnected table slicer of 4 hierarchy parent names
2. Create summarized calc table based on on the selected slicer.  Calc table to include 
a. All children of selected parent
b. Date
c. Channel
d. Measure_1
e. Measure_2
f. Measure_3
