Upload data from folder and keep 3 columns in new table as historical data and measures

Hello,

I have two questions: when uploading data from a folder, will my measures stay intact?

Also, I want to copy 3 columns into another table and then append the new data in that column to keep a historic record. Is that possible? If so, how?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

As for your first question, your measure will change when the process of uploading finished.

As for your second question, you could open query editor and use "merge" to combine two tables. Then expand the columns you want.

Thanks for your response, Since I'm only keeping the first file, is there a way to do this without the query editor? I'm worried since they'll be attached via the editor that Power BI will only keep those two columns every time rather than stacking the data historically.
