Hi everyone,
I have the same four visuals on separate tabs with different filters on each tab (to share to separate dashboards / departments), and each month I need to add new data and columns.
Is there any way to "link" the visuals so I only need to make the "additions" once instead of manually on all ten+ department tabs?
Thanks in advance,
Adrian

Hi, @Anonymous
If you need to show the corresponding data to the corresponding users, then I think the best way is to use RLS. There is no need to use bookmarks or copy.
You can check the document:Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
You can define roles and rules within Power BI Desktop. When you publish to Power BI, it also publishes the role definitions. It may be unfamiliar the first time you use it, but it is really suitable for your needs.
If you encounter any problems, please feel free to ask me.

@Anonymous Hey
once you have created report .you do not have to worry about data viz updation part .
once you have updated the data then it will automaticlally update viz month wise data as well .but you have to do it manual formatting to month name and few other think if word wrapping option is not enabled .
Kindly refer this one too
Note : If you want to sync the common slicer then use sync slicer option in power bi desktop .
i am hoping you excel as data backend .
That doesn't work as I need to add the new data as a new column in the matrix table, as it comes from a different source.
@Anonymous i hope .You have already added that coloum in database .every month it is updating as your dataset gets updated .
if not add col. once it is done then every month you have update backend data as well.
Hi, @Anonymous
Sorry, PBI seems to be no such feature. But according to your requirement, I suggest you use bookmarks instead of four pages. You can use bookmarks to save the visual after different filtering conditions. When the data is updated, it will update itself. Of course, you can manually update.

Thanks a real lot, that was exactly what I was looking for!
I was thinking about bookmarks too, but then I would have the problem that the people I share the report to can access ALL of the data, not just the data relating to their department.

@Anonymous , I doubt you can link. You can copy paste visual from one tab to another.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-copy-paste
You can sync slicer if needed.
I had copied the tab, I assume that does not link the visuals then?
I am linking visuals with tables / matrixes, not slicers.
I have the department filter in the background, because every department is only supposed to be able to view their own data.
