Updating multiple measures at once
Good afternoon all,
I have a dataset with 237 measures (its been a long road, but rewarding) but as we are building out reports from that dataset, we are realizing we should have a standard naming convention for those measures.
does anyone know of a way to update ALL of the measures in a dataset at once? I exported the list of names and expressions, and now have a table that has the old name, new name, and updated expressions (for where i referenced other measures) I'm struggling to find a way to mass update without having to go into each and every measure individually.
Any thoughts?
Hey Anonymous ,
there is just one way - use Tabular Editor: Tabular Editor
Tabular Editor 3 is a paid version.
Tabular Editor 2 is free, but you can achieve what you want using TE 2.

Tom

Hi Stephen.
I can see how this video would help is certain situations, but I am not seeing how this is applicable to my situation.
I need a way to either feed it my excel, or do a lookup/find/replace that will look at all my mesures, find the one on my list, and replace the name (or the formula) with what i have on my excel sheet.
