Updating data source Excel Method M server

Question

Hi&nbsp;I have a firewall that inhibits me from connecting my power bi to the data source. I am able to extract an excel worksheet of the data I need. I can initiate the dashbaord using the Excel, meanwhile the issue with the firewall is being worked out.&nbsp;If I change the data source from this Excel (which is an export of the cloud which is an internal sharepoint), will it destroy my graphics and dashboard? I don't want to have to do the work twice.&nbsp;many thanks for all your suggestions and help!

If you could get the same excel from the cloud source succesfully,it would not&nbsp;destroy your graphics in desktop.You may try to publish it to service and&nbsp;set schedule refresh for the dataset.
