Hello,
I built a dashboard for a person in my organization, hosting data in a private sharepoint site, where they could drop an excel file in a folder and an automatic schedule updated the content of the dashboard. This worked fine for a couple of months, with new excel files being added regularly. During winter my access to the sharepoint site was revoked, and we ran into this issue below.
> Data source error[ValidateMarkupTags][ccon]DataSource.NotFound: Excel Workbook: [ccon]The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read this type of file. To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: MainDB_Gemex1HourPivotData.
My contact still has access. I've browsed multiple other posts with the same error withouth luck.
What I've done:
Any ideas on how to proceed?
BR
Hi @OLGJ ,
Based on the above information, if you are a Power BI Pro licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

Hi @Anonymous
Thank you I'll do that, will let you know.
BR
Hi @Anonymous !
Thanks for reaching out. I found that option yesterday (before I posted) and they successfully have access of the semantic model now. We also opened up the report in the desktop application, and re-published it.
We did set the Privacy level to organizational. Do you think that the issue might be that people who have access to the workspace does not have access to the Sharepoint site (I.e, me?)?
BR
Hi @OLGJ ,
Perhaps have other members with access to sharepoint take over that semantic model and check if it works.
Hope it helps!

Hi @Anonymous ,
Why would this work if they have the same access as the current owner of the semantic model?
Are you aware if there are any size restrictions on data?
BR
Hi @OLGJ ,
For refreshing, only the onwer of the semantic model can be refreshed.
Large data storage does not mean "size", but a more efficient storage model that dynamically assigns capacity to memory.
Hope it helps!

Hi @Anonymous
Tried updating the semantic model, and changing privacy setting to public. Still no luck.
@Anonymous do you have any other ideas what to do? Or where I can get help?
Hi @OLGJ ,
If you can't get your access back, ask them to get owner access to the semantic model.
Hope it helps!
