I'm pulling data from a MySQL database, and to do the types of analysis I want to do, I have the original table I'm interested in as well as a duplicate of it to format the data differently. If I refresh my data (i.e after adding on some new rows/data points), will the duplicate also get the new refreshed data? Or will it essentially be a copy of what my data was before the refresh?
Thanks!

Hi @frnkwng7
Currently in Power BI when you click Refresh it will reload the entire dataset for both your first table and your duplicate table.
So yes it will include your new rows/data points every time you refresh in Power BI.

Does the name of the duplicated table affect this (that is, does it have to stay as 'original tablename (2)' for the data to refresh?
No. The table can be renamed. Still the refresh works.
