Updating Data Table While Keeping Measures
Hello,
I have this fact table that updates every month. For example, I had actual revenue data up until May and expected revenue data from June to December. I built my power bi dashboard around this table but I will get updated excel sheet with Jan-June actual revenue and July-December expected rev next month. How can I swap out this data without having to build the data modeling from the beginning?

Hi p0wer_user ,
Ensure that the structure (columns and data types) of the new Excel file is identical to the existing file. This ensures that the data replacement process goes smoothly.
Open the data source setting in desktop and make changes to excel.
Additional Tips
Backup your work: Before performing these steps, it's always a good idea to save a copy of your Power BI file (PBIX) as a backup.
Data validation: After updating the data, validate key measures and totals to ensure the update process did not introduce any discrepancies.Best Regards,
