Update dataset problem data import report

Hello,

I’ve got a report that is importing data from SQL tables.
2 tables that both have a date column and some value columns.

So I’ve created a hard coded date table. And made a relationship to both existing tables.

I’ve a (visual) table where all 3 tables come together.
Date - value from table 1 - value from table 2 - etc.

All is working fine on desktop. But when I upload the report and the dataset it won’t refresh all data when I trigger the dataset refresh action on the power bi website.

I read about it on this website already and got a suggestion to download the June update instead of the latest one. Not really a great suggestion and I can’t find the June download file anyways.

Anyone knows how to fix this ? Please let me know.

This is a known issue which was listed in Power BI support several weeks ago. By now, it has fixed.

Please try again and if you still have this issue, please trace your gateway log and check if there is any error.

Hi @Alberthoekstra,

It seems that you have problems when you refresh the dataset in Power BI Service?

What error do you have? If it is convenient, could you share the screenshots about your refresh error?

In additon, do you configure the Data Gateway in Power BI Service and add the SQL Server data source?

Currently, the latest Version of Power BI Desktop is : 2.61.5192.541 64-bit (August 2018). If you want to download the previous version of Power BI, you could download from here.

Hi,

Thanks for your response!

Yes, I've got problems when I refresh the dataset in Power BI Service (manual or automatic).

I don't get any error, just an incomplete dataset as result.

Yes, the Data Gateway is configured and the SQL Server data source is added.

Thank you for the link, I'll try the June version.

Someone suggested that that version should fix it.
