Update a Slicer from a Visual
Hi Magrfa ,
Altough in most of the visual you can filter or highlight other visuals, the slicers are special kinds of visuals, they are used to filter your data in order to get a subset of values.
Being this the specific use case of Slicer the interactions between other visualizations and slicers (mind the order I have written) is not exactly the same has the rest of the other visualizations.
Slicers can only be filtered out by other slicers or by the filters on the filter pane, when you try to get an interaction between a pie chart (using you example) and a slicer nothing will happen to the slicer.
In summary and to my klnowledge this is not possible.

Maybe a slicer is the wrong way to do it then, My main aim is below is there another way to generate this behavior.
We have two pieces of software and the dashboard is to compare them as see how aligned they are.
An export from each is placed in an excel table which is the data source for the PowerBI.
Each Piechart looks at a different field to see how well they match.
In the data table I have a Column for Software IPS and a column for software EO.
Ideally when you select a piechart you want in the table to see the first few columns but then just the relevant two columns for that piechart.
For example. If you select the Red Section on the Price pie chart, I am after the table updating with the relevant values, which it does, but also to only show the generic columns (first three) and the two price columns.
however if you select the Red Section of the Status pie chart, I am after the table updating with the relevant values, which it does, but also to only show the generic columns (first three) and the two Status columns.
etc...
Currently I can achieve this but I have to select the piechart for the values, then use the slicer for the columns
Is there a way to achieve what I describe above even if it is not using the slicer option at all
