Update Power BI - Automated Updates to Desktop

Why is my "Display update notifications for Power BI Desktop" option grayed out in File/Options and Settings/Options/Updates.  I cannot check the checkbox to display update notifications for Desktop.

    Hi MikeyLikesPwrBI,

    Where did you download the powerbi  desktop, in MS web or in windows app store? Here is a similar post for this problem, you could refer to Monthly updating for details. Or you could try to re-install to see whether it work or not.
