Hi,
i am facing the following situation.
In a Model I have a Fact Table that is duplicated. This is because I want to filter the Fact_Copy to see the Number of Contracts that have a starting status and see how the status changed over Time. But i have another Dimension called "Type". I want to filter on the type too, but in both fact tables.
This is the Example. On left side we see the fact tables content. On the right how i want to use the Model.
What I want to have is, that type is filtered as in Type_Copy. At the moment the End User has to set both filtersIs there any chance to get this working. I actually need a Solution in SSAS Tabular. So this should work in PowerBI and Excel connected to the Tabular Model.
Or am I totally on the wrong path?
Best Regards
Try to create measure like below and apply the measure to visual level filter:
Measure = IF(MAX('Table'[Status]) in VALUES('Table 2'[Status_copy]) && MAX('Table'[Type]) in VALUES('Table 2'[Type_copy]) ,1,0)
I do not understand why you need a copy of the fact table to look at the status over time, why not just use the original table? From what I see you may need duplicate Type/Status tables to have separate slicers and a custom measure to ignore one or the other
Hi @Stachu ,
thanks for your feedback.
can you give an example of such a Measure or any hint to one?
Best Regards
