Ungrouped Values not Loading in "Groups" Modal

Hi everyone, first-time poster, so if I'm doing something wrong, please let me know!

I'm trying to create groups, but the ungrouped values for this particular attribute are not all loading. I'm getting this data via DirectQuery, and the table has millions of records. The specific field I'm looking in has ~150,000 distinct records. Any idea why the values just stop loading? I don't think I even get to 1,000.

Hi @Alex125 ,

It may be caused by text type data. You could use RANKX() function to create an index column, then group this new column.

After my tests, it will works properly with number type.

Yeah, my guess is that the UI isn't designed to deal with that many unique values. I would consider creating a custom column instead and use that for grouping.

Thanks, that's what I ended up doing. Long, ugly IF statement--but it works!
