Hi everyone, i spent two weeks trying to resolve this.
When i try to connect SSAS trough BI Desktop, when finally the connect is established, this error appears.
Unexpect Error:
Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: Key
I installed and un uninstalled de framework.
some advice?
Ensure Power BI Desktop is latest version compatible with your SSAS instance.
Clear cached connections:
Go to File → Options and settings → Data source settings → Clear Permissions for SSAS.
Make sure your SSAS Tabular model is processed and accessible.
Check that .NET Framework 4.6+ is installed.
Try connecting using “Connect live” instead of import.
👉 Usually, clearing cached credentials + updating Power BI Desktop solves this.
