Unencrypted password sent via Power Query

I am seeing this when I try to connect with the SharePoint Online connector.

Unencrypted password

Is there a way to connect with an encrypted password please?

Is it ever a good idea to send your password in cleartext?

    Hi PHorniak,

     

    You can use power bi service to connect to sharepoint, click get data-> file-> sharepoint.

      Thanks for your message. Why is the Desktop option offering to send an unencrypted password?
