Helper IIIUnderstanding - items with no data and relationships
Hi,
So I have got the table below.
The table visual has content from two tables - T1 and T2. The relationship between them is many to many.
Line 1 of the T1 has data in T2, but line 2 of T1 doesn't have data in T2.
In the image above there is a pair of things that I don't understand.
- Line 2 should appear by default, but it doesn't. I have checked show items with no data to make it appear. Why?
- For example: measure "Producido (m3)" - if I don't summarize (sum), it shows the line 2 value but won't show the total, if I summarize (sum), it hides the line 2 value and shows the total. Why? How can I have both?
I don't understand this type of behaviour of Power BI.

You didn't specify which filter direction you chose, and which columns (from which side of the relationship) you chose. Both have an impact on your observed behavior.

Yeah, you can't really do that (set the filter direction to both) and expect any meaningful results. Maybe create separate versions of your data model for the different business questions.
