Understanding Today function and when it refreshes

If I create a calendar table in Power BI with function = Calendar( "2020/01/01" , Today() )  , when is the table going to be refreshed? If i dont hit the refresh data button for 5 days (My model is mixed - lookup/data dicitionary tables are import while critical tables with data are direct query), I will only see Calendar table for Today - 5 days or will i see the new rows automatically added without refreshing?

For Composite models, based on my test, We can configure the scheduled refresh on it, the cache of titles will refresh after refresh complete, we can configure maxium 8 times on shared capacity or use on-demand refresh.

furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages associated with Import and DirectQuery, depending on how each table is configured. But it may reduce the size of dataset and duration time of refresh because some table use direct query instead of Import.
