Unbalanced Hierarchy with missing subgroups (Zebra BI)
Hi community,
I've been looking around for solutions that handle unbalanced hierarchy, but none of them are applicable to unbalanced hierarchy with missing subgroups (i.e., levels in between). The reason why there are missing levels in between is because when creating income statements with multiple levels, the accounts need to be kept at the same bottom level and some accounts may have more sub-categories than others. See the screenshot below:
Our income statement has 10 levels. The headers are placed UNDER. We simply want to hide/suppress the rows in the middle for our visuals. Is this possible?

Hi Anonymous ,
If you want to "hide" the value of sub-type , you may try ISINSCOPE() to create a measure like below:
Measure = IF(ISINSCOPE('Table'[Sub-Type]),BLANK(),SUM('Table'[Value]))Best Regards,

Hi Eyelyn9,
Thanks for your reply. The difference is that I do not want to want to remove the blank subtypes, because they contain information in the lower hierarchy. I only want to hide these rows that have blank category name (but not hide the levels below this category that are not blank). e.g. I want to keep row 'Total acquired depreciation', which falls under 'Operating Profit', but I want to hide all of the "empty" categories in between. I also want to avoid having to move up the hierarchy level of 'Total acquired depreciation'
