Unable to select downloaded JSON theme

Hi,

I've never attempted to upload an imported JSON Theme before.

I've downloaded the Coronavirus Themesfrom here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Themes-Gallery/Coronavirus-Outbreak-Report-JCH/td-p/1008524

I then see the  'The theme was imported successfully' message

Where is it?  When I open the themes i cannot see the Coronavirus Theme JCH.json listed amo

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Yes that worked 😊

For some reason that JSON file is 6kb in size and so it actually contained info, whereas the others are empty:

Very strange but at least I know I was doing it correctly - thank you!

I open the theme with Notepad++ and this theme is incompleted, a lot of information are missing

This is why this theme is not working

Normally, after uploading the theme, it is applied automatically to your report

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I'm not sure why this is incomplete because I used this link:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Themes-Gallery/Coronavirus-Outbreak-Report-JCH/td-p/1008524

I then selected it and it downloaded on my laptop.

If you saw a Theme you liked in the Gallery, what are the steps that you would take in order to use this Theme for a report or dashboard? I'm obviously missing a step somewhere.

Thanks

can you share the json theme you used?

so i would first

to download the .json file from the file i liked

then in the pbix im transferring it to i would browse for current themes and upload it.  however i have had problems in the past with this.

maybe if you share the json you using i can let you know if its a workable format or not.

No matter what I download it doesn't seem to work

Thanks, thats exactly what I was expecting, to see the downloaded Theme in Themes menu / View

Is this not possible then?

on the theme menu  under this report, hold your mouse over the theme and it should tell you which one it is

Thanks, but when I hover over a theme I do not see the theme names that I've downloaded from https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Themes-Gallery

What am I doing wrong?

I'm downloaded these 2 so far
