Unable to see week/month/quarter specific graph changes when looking at changes over time

I've made a graph which displays change in an equation over time, however, the change is only an average per year, instead of showing me what is happening month to month over multiple years (or week to week over multiple months), it only shows one answer per year.  How can I see the changes on a more up to date scale?
