Unable to see all records when OData.Feed call is replaced with VSTS.Contents call

I am facing a weird problem and that is I do not see all records when fetched through JSON.Document(VSTS.Contents()) call instead of OData.Feed() call.

The OData.Feed() call imports all of the records till date but the same when replaced with JSON.Document(VSTS.Contents()) call, I get only 10,000 records and the latest ones like for the current month are completely ignored or truncated. 

Is there any way to fetch all records and overcome this limitation?

The reason being I am using OData queries and Power BI Service does not schedule refresh for such dynamic datasets. Please help.
