Unable to save changes made in Power Query Editor

Hi

I made some changes to an existing Power BI report within the Power Query Editor. Unfortunately, the server used for some of the queries does not respond, so I have to try again later.

To save my invested time, I would like to save the changes anyway. But this does not work. Once I choose "Close & Apply" in the Power Query Editor and one of the queries fails, I cannot "Apply changes", as Power BI then again tries to run the query - and again fails. So the cat it chasing it's tail...

How can I save my work?

Thanks

Christian

While in the Power Query, you can save the changes by clicking on the "save" icon. You can then close the query and when prompted, select "apply later".

It turns out that they are not effectively saved, sometimes I make changes within Power query, close and save, but if it is canceled or the query fails, they are not saved!
