Unable to run Power BI Desktop
Hello everyone,
I used to run and worked with the Power BI Desktop app on my machine at home with no trouble at all through my organization. Since I am not working any more for this company, I am trying to run the free version of PBI to continue learning and practicing, but I tried to open the app and a box pops up with the error below.
Feedback Type:

Error Message:

I tried to uninstall the program, but it does not appear as installed on my machine anymore, although the icon appears yet on my computer tray. Somehow, it uninstalled itself or another program removed it.
BTW, I tried one of the solutions offered on the link below, such as installing the 32-bit version instead of installing the app from the Windows Store.
Installing the 32-bit did not work and rather prompt another error. The app stops installing, and a box pops telling me that to continue installing it, I need to close PBI Desktop.
The PBI Desktop app isn't actually open, since it is not installed. Somehow, the app uninstalled by itself. I tried to find it to remove it, and it is not actually installed anymore. It simply disappeared by itself.
I do not know what could be preventing the installation to move forward.
Regarding scanning the machine using MpDmdRun.exe (as suggested on the link below), I could not run this program for some reason even though my profile shows me I am an administrator. It tells me I need administrator's rights to run the console.
Any help is immensely appreciated!
Thank you,
Daniel
Anonymous , Make sure you have installed the Power BI desktop App. In case you have installed app. Or Power BI desktop download from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494
Org account is a login and power bi Desktop should work without that.
Maske sure latest winodws updates are installed and you are installing latest version
