Unable to refresh Dashboard
Hi Anonymous ,
I am not using a Gateway and I am unable to locate a possible solution on the Web.
What does that mean? Could you please tell me what is your data source? As the error message, you should install configure gateway for your dataset. Please refer to the online document about gateway.

I meant that we are currently not using a gateway, but these are SQL Data sources as Imports. A few of my co-workers are experience the same issues. I seems to all started after the latest update of Power BI (June). The issue is that the Refresh button does not work on the Dataset, Workbook or Dashboard. I have no issues with the Desktop version.

Are you trying to have a scheduled refresh? Is the Schedule Refresh greyed out? I noticed that when I updated to the latest I had to go and turn on Keep your data up to date again.

No, not Schedule refresh, the actual Refresh button in the Menu for the online versions. I Click on the button and nothing happens. I have tried it with the Dashboard, each individual page and on the data set - none of them refresh. However, in the desktop version I have no issues.
Thanks for your input.

Unless your database is On Cloud, without a gateway Power BI Service has no way to know where your database resides (on your local on-premise servers) and hence can not connect to that database to refresh the report.
As the error message indicates, you would need to configure a gateway that acts a a bridge between your data source and the Power BI service.
Check all the data sources in your Power BI report file (pbix file). If there is even one source (maybe recently added) that is referencing any on-premise data sources, you would need a gateway.
