Unable to open pbix file

Good Morning,

Would you be able to help with the below error?  I was working on this report as recent as yesterday but this morning it  is stating it is corrupt. 

Error Message:
'C:\Users\Downloads\YNR_DEV.pbix' is corrupted and can't be opened by Power BI Desktop.

In the properties in each location there was no ‘Previous Versions’ to revert to.  Please let me know if you need any further information.

Also rather than directly double clicking .pbix file, open Power BI Desktop, click File -> Open -> Select the corrupted pbix file still i am getting same error. I tried to convert zip but no use. Can anyone suggest how to fix it.

Can you please check auto recovery file is available or not, follow the path in your system

C:\Users\----your user name ----\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\TempSaves\

Yes we can see the auto recovery file and able to open in Power BI desktop. Thanks for fixing the issue.

Hello,

I have been experiencing some issues with .pbix files when using my VPC at home and then trying to access the same files again in the office (not on my VPC and on my VPC).  The files are coming up as corrupted, but seems to be a pattern when I work from home and then come into the office.  It has happened several times, but not every time. 

I was able to grab a temporary file like this chain outlined.  I wanted to reach out if there was something I could do to prevent this from occurring or if this is a common issue or not. 

Additionally, the files are sometimes converted to file type 24 file.
