Hi everybody,
I am not an expert in Power BI, but somehow I managed to do every request I received so far. Until now, I had no requests to use existing Datasets as sources for reports, everything I have done, it was from scratch. But now, since we have datasets already on the platform, it is logical to use them and create more granular reports when needed.
So, when I open PBI, I select the dataset that I want to use (I am the owner/admin of the source dataset too, if it is important) and I have no problems creating the report. When I save the report on my PC, I get no errors or warnings, everything seems fine. Also, I can publish the report to the Power BI Portal without any problems.
But, when I close the report PBI Desktop, I cannot open that report again. When I try to open it, I get the message "Unable to open document; File is corrupt or an invalid report file". Published report shows up fine when I open it from the browser, but the desktop version is not working.
Any ideas what am I doing wrong?
TLDR: I am using PBI Dataset as a source for new report. New report saves and publishes fine, but the saved version becomes corrupted when I close the PBI Desktop. Published report works fine.
Thank you for the help!

Hello Liang, thank you for the reply, I did what the post said, and it worked.
To be precise: Firstly I tried to download a .pbix file from the service and open that, but that came up as corrupted too, so that solution did not work for me. Then, I tried to restore previous versions of my report, but that also did not work.
Finally, I resorted to reinstalling PBI and it finally worked!
Thank you for pointing me at the right direction.
