Hi All,
I am unable to open excel workbook in app.power BI services. After clicking that workbook it is showing only loading, not opening. Is there any related thing that i have to do. Please provide a solutions for this issue.
Thanks,
Varsri
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on my test, in Power BI service, Get Data-> File-> OneDrive for Business to connect to Excel workbook via Connect button, the Excel workbook display in Power BI just like it would in Excel Online, not import a dataset. You can go through this article: Get data from Excel workbook files.
Hi v-diye-msft,
Thanks for reply. I did same thing but still it is not opening & this workbook is saved in workbook option. But here in this link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-excel-workbook-files. it is showing that excel file saved in report pane. Please provide the solution.
Thanks,
Varsri
Hi @Anonymous ,
The capture in official document has been out of date, you can see the option which should be "Connect" but with "Upload", the worksheet connected (not imported) saved in workbook pane not report pane, but if you are using Onedrive for personal , it would be different . Workbook could only be imported as dataset rather than connected as worksheet . I'd like to suggest you to reupload your file to Onedrive for business and try again.
If still stuck , plz raise your issue in the portal: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/
