New to Power BI.
A document has been shared with me in Share Point and it is located in a folder that I do not have permission to access. I can open the document in the link shared with me however, when I attempt to get data via Sharepoint folder/ online or through web, I cannot locate this file.
Can anyone advise whether you need permission to use a file you do not have access to the location folder?
Thanks in advance

@pparke great. open the file in local excel copy , not online and get the location of the file to use in powerbi. Read more here on how to connect, although link say "onedrive" but same logic will work for your example.
