Unable to link dataset from Synapse to Powerbi

Hi everyone,

I have successfully established connection between Power BI and Synapse using serverless SQL enpoint, but facing the below error when we try to load the data. Has anyone faced bulk data load issue while connecting to Azure Synapse Analytics SQL and knows how to resolve this?

Hi @ShreyashiRM ,

You can check that the data types in the Synapse SQL table match the expected data types in Power BI, a mismatch in data types can cause conversion errors.

Whether the PowerBI user at the time of connection is using sql authentication or AAD passthrough, if it is AAD, you may not have access to the account.
