I have such a case:
1. All can work well before Oracle database connection string change.
2. Because DB change, so updated tnsnames.ora file with new DB info.
3. Open Power BI desktop, same pbix, refresh the report, unable to read the new DB info.
Even no help after reinstalling the power bi desktop, restarting laptop etc. Not know where there is still cache, any idea what I still can try? Thanks!

I finally fixed the issue found in my colleagues' power Bi desktop, the problem is not within PB like having cache etc as what I had thought early, just the tnsnames.ora has something wrong.

yes, I have that and able to connect. actually in my power bi desktop, this issue gone, other two colleagues still have the problem, before the DB change, all worked in their side.
I didn't do anything except that .ora file, and they also updated same but still can't work.
Thank you to help check!
I red those two posts, mine is a little different. Before making DB change all work well, this only DB server host change, and no error like what they got when refreshing the report just still read old DB info. Seems some cache somewhere, but I have no idea where.
Are you able to connect to that DB using some other tool like SQL developer?
from the same machine, you have power BI.
Hope you have checked
