Unable to edit a measure
After working all day in Power BI Desktop, I went to edit an existing measure and it will not open. It opens automatically to Column Tools in the toolbar. I'm unable to see the formula so I have no way of editing. I restarted Power BI, restarted the PC, uninstalled/reinstalled Power BI to no avail.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them?
Version: 2.138.782.0 64-bit (November 2024)
Thanks

Hi anelliaf ,
1. Please try to download the latest version of power bi desktop (Version: 2.138.1004.0)
Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center2. Please try to create a new pbix file to see if this still happens.

Are you sure you are working in the model where the measure is originally defined or are you working on a thin report connected to a model?

Hi, I am working in full model as I can still see tables, relationships, etc. I created the report and this is a second version that I have not yet published. It's stored on my local computer.

Did you find a resolution to this? I have several measures that I cannot edit and can't figure out why [there are also plenty that I can edit in both desktop and the semantic model].

Hi Clara,
I downloaded the latest version, opened the troubled report, but am still unable to edit any of the measures. It goes directly to Column Tools. However, when I created a new report, I am able to edit a newly created measure by selecting it.
How do I recover the old report so I can continue editing measures?
Thanks,
Frank
