Unable to drag and drop fields

For some reason my Power BI desktop app stopped letting me drag fields in visualization and the filter pane.  I opened a fresh new file and loaded some basic data still have the problem.  I can click the checkbox to bring a field in but I can't drag and drop.  Gives me a green line like the below.
