Unable to create dataflow due to invalid credentials.

Am exctacting data from mysql that's running in linux machine.

with alot of search I was able to load the data using putty (ssh tunneling) into ODBC then load to my power b.i desktop.

Am currently struggling with dataflow error: 

Invalid credentials. (Session ID: 4e15d423-53e5-4907-9c75-8cac68a6ef23)

I have put:

1. my pc logins
2. gateway credentials
3.  and even my database credentials 

(with every trial of the step the connection was still successful)

question 1.

why is the connection still successful with deffrent  credentials?

Question 2.

i have tried all Authentication kind corresponding to my data source setting 

1. windows - gateway credentials, my pc credentials &  mysql credentials 
2. basic - gateway credentials, my pc credentials &  mysql credentials
3. Anonymous

why am i getting this error please?

Kindly help me out am late of schedule.
