Hello
I have a power bi report that already has data loaded and many calculated columns and a separate measure table.
I have copied this report and made adjustments to some of the tables in powerquery (i.e., filtering the data to show plan number 5 instead of #4), nothing too crazy. The Plan has associated actions that hold various dates (start, target, completion etc) and I have split these out into their own tables.
I've use parameters to enable the switching between plan # and action references.
The data loads no problem, and I can 'see' the data is as expected.
When I go to an existing calculated column, I can revise the action references and the output works no problem.
However, If I take the same DAX (that has just worked) and try to create a new calculated column (with a different name), it errors and tells me the table can’t be found or is not available for use.
I will probbaly end up building a new report from scratch, but it would be useful to copy and tweak the one I have already.
Has anyone else has experience this odd phenomenon recently, and if so have you found a solution?
Awaiting responses with interest!
H
