Unable to create ANY relationships between tables, even to recreate old ones

Hi,
For some time now, I have been unable to create any relationships between tables in PowerBI. Today, I even deleted the old relationships and cannot recreate them. The window appears, I connect the tables appropriately, but there is no option to confirm or click OK. When I press Enter, the window closes, but no relationship is created. What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?Best regards

Hi @marhk_022

For troubleshooting

  • Is your Power BI Desktop up to date?
  • Try deinstalling Desktop and reinstalling it?

Hi @Joe_Barry ,

I reinstalled PowerBi, but the problem still appears.

Best

This is really odd behaviour

Let's persist.

  • Go to options > Global > Data Load > Clear Casche
  • Go to options > Current File > Data Load > Relationships have your setting like this Joe_Barry_0-1722428030482.png

If that fails have you tried Autodetect? This will work if teh column names are the same in the tables

Hi,

I have already cleared the cache and also have the same settings selected for the current file. Autodetect is also not working.

Problem is appearing through all powerbi desktop files:

Good morning @marhk_022

Did you recently update Power BI? If you did, is it possible to re-install an older version? I faced issues in the past when I downloaded Power BI from the Microsoft Store, but never when I downloaded from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494

You can also raise a ticket if your issue persits.

Hi,

I have Version: 2.131.1203.0 64-bit (July 2024), so I think it should be up to date.
