Hi all, recently, I found that I'm unable to connect Mysql database into Power bi desktop encountered below error:
Unable to connect
We encountered an error while trying to connect.
Details: "An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'One or more errors occurred.'
Please help me to how can be fix this error.
I am using Mysql version - C++ 8.0.28

The missing installer is indeed a possible reason.
Allow me to add something here:
In Power BI Desktop, go to and enable tracking. Try connecting to MySQL and check the detailed logs in the traces folder for more specific error messages.
Try clearing any credentials stored in Power BI Desktop and then reconnect.
If your connection requires encryption, make sure it is set up correctly.

It was credentials issue, I have cleared credentials stored in Power BI Desktop and now MySql database is connected.

Have you installed Oracle MySQL dot net connector in your machine? if not then follow the instructions in this page.
